SEO or Search engine optimization is one of the most important aspects when it comes to getting your website noticed. SEO can be tricky when you are first starting out, however that's what I'm here for. I have created a getting started with SEO training that will help you figure out some of the ins and outs of SEO to hopefully take some of the mystery out of it for you.The first thing you will need to do is to figure out what key words you would like to "target". I suggest you come up with about 10-15 strong keywords to target for each page of your website. You don't want to use to many, you want to stay focused on one key word and just use different variations of that key word to be sure to get the most out of your SEO efforts. I would recommend using Google keyword Tool. This tool is great for optimizing your site and generating good keywords. First off its free, and it shows the number of times a keyword had been searched in the past month. Not only that but it also shows you different variations of the keyword that you searched so you can get several good ideas from using this tool. It is also very important that when writing your keywords you don't repeat the same keywords over and over again. You need to make sure you are using different variations of the keyword. If not the search engines will more than likely flag your site for spam. For example if you are targeting SEO, you might want to use SEO, SEO marketing, search engine optimization, search engine submission, search engine optimizer, SEO tools, SEO quides, etc.The most important place to have your keywords is in your Titles, be sure to limit your title to 15 words or less including your top keywords.Example: SEO - Free Search Engine Optimization Training. Now you will also want to use meta tags, several search engines don't use meta tags anymore however you don't want to skip this step, every little bit helps. When entering meta tags you will need to have a little experience with HTML. If you don't its okay I will provide some examples. When using meta tags there are 2 main things to remember, you will need a meta description, as well as your meta tags. You will also want to make sure you place all of your tags between the and the tags on your page. In your meta description you will not want to use more than 200 characters. This is a description of your page that the search engines will pick up, for example:Example:With meta key words you can go a little more in detail however you will not want to use more than 1000 characters in your meta tags. META keywords are not used as frequently by the search engines as they used to be, but there is no reason not to use them. Be sure to separate each keyword or key phrases with a comma. Remember that each of your keywords should also be present at your page for higher ranking, and to avoid being caught for spamming.Example:If you need help generating your meta tags I suggest using a Meta Tags Generator. When using this tool it will ask for "Meta Charset" for most sites you will use "Universal UTF-8" After you have decided on your keywords that you are going to use, you now need content. Having relevant content on your site is crucial to SEO, and getting picked up on search engines. If your page has nothing to do with your title or your keywords you will not get a high ranking position in any search engine and you will probably be flagged for spamming. Good SEO, and learning how to optimize your site takes time. Don't rush it, take your time and put some real thought into what you are going to say and what keywords you are going to use, this will definitely pay off in the long run.I have provided you with the basic knowledge of SEO on how to optimize your new site. If you follow what I have shown you, you will increase the traffic to your site and you will get a better ranking on search engines. If you would like more free training on how to successfully market your business on-line please visit my site at Lifehasnolimitsmarketing.com [http://www.lifehasnolimitsmarketing.com]

When you create your first website or when you buy an existing website or web business my advice to you is don't get too caught up in the design. I'm not saying that a nice looking website isn't important but I don't believe its the most important thing. You can have the ugliest, simplest site in the world but if you're selling something people want, a product or information people will pretty much overlook how your site looks provided you solve their problem and solve it fast. To me, what you write is the key. Generally speaking people are more likely to be moved to buy by words rather than pictures. There are lots of websites with pictures of fancy houses, cars and exotic beaches but I think these type of images are less effective than they used to be. For that reason I'd suggest you focus on what you are writing as much as you can.So far as the writing is concerned on your website I'd suggest paying particular attention to any headlines and sub headings. People like to skim. They are checking to see if the website they have come to (yours) is going to give them the information or product that they want. They're busy people, they maybe at work, so tell them what you can do for them fast!. If you're heading or even the website domain itself tells them the story even better. For example, take the domain icuredmyeczema.com - i think you'll agree that you pretty much know what it's going to be about just from the domain. Add that to a compelling headline and sub headings and your chances of success have just got a lot better. Until next time

SEO - Internal Factors: Do You Get Them Right?

SEO consists of two major parts: on-site and off-site (also called on-page or off-page) optimization. Just focussing on one of them means neglecting the opportunities that the other one opens up. It is fatal to think being perfect with on-site leaves room for neglect in the off-site optimization. This is sooo not the case.A DefinitionOn-site and off-site optimization are a team. And there is a reason why people say "Never change a winning team".On-site optimazitaion refers to all SEO done directly on the website that is to be optimized. This includes adjustments in the HTML-Code as well as in the editorial content. Because I don't consider myself an expert in technical SEO, I will focus on editorial content as well as some HTML tactics to better your on-site optimization. Off-page optimization is the opposite to the on-page optimization, as the wording indicates already. But let me break it down: Off-(the)-site optimization refers to all measures undertaken outside the own website. Often it is misunderstood as pure link building. Though link building is an integral part in SEO, it is not the main ingredient in the optimization mix.Off-site SEO is a mixI am referring to off-page optimization as a mix, because there is more to it than links. If you have all the links in the world, but fail to master all the other implications in off-site SEO a lot of potential is thereby neglected. There is more to it than just (spammy) links in directories and social bookmark platforms. Even building a content network is not enough. While many agencies still operate this way, off-site SEO has gone further than just links from blogs. But what ARE the ingredients in that mix? Other than links there is one major area often referred to as social signals. Social signals simply means what is the response in social networks towards your website, your content, a subpage or a posting. The more people talk about you in their social media feeds, the better it is for your website. Good social signals or a large quantity of them might not automatically lead to a high ranking, but it definitely adds some spice to the mix. Ultimately, social signals are also links. Because talking about something in "social media terms" means sharing, commenting, posting and liking. Ultimately, those social signals create links as well and thereby add to the link mix of a site.
